This weekend sees the 5th international conference on timber bridges in Rotorua hosted by the NZ Timber Design Society and the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi. With technical presentations, industry trade exhibitions and keynote sessions, the event is sure to provide invaluable insights and knowledge around timber bridge construction. We have teamed up with Peter Robinson from PNG Forest Products Ltd to showcase our NiuDeck at the conference.

NiuDeck is a purpose designed and engineered heavy plywood decking system that is primarily used for re-decking traditional timber bridges. Manufactured from sustainable plantation pine with H4 veneer treatment preservation with 100% penetration.

We will be taking an example of our bridge to showcase the different ways our timber bridge can be supported with steel or timber.
