Case Studies | Sealy Lookout
The unique Sealy Lookout in Coffs Harbour was created using a variety of high-quality Hyne building materials, all of which are available from NZWOOD.
The new lookout would give improved views from the platform, while showcasing the beauty of Australian hardwoods. Hyne building materials are known for their strength and structural integrity, two factors that were also important in this project.
Hyne Beam 21 was used in combination with steel for the lookout, and showcased how the two products could be used together in a dynamic way. The 21.6 metre long platform used large-section Hyne laminated beams of South East Queensland hardwood, and was supported by an innovative stainless steel cable structure.
The combination of Hyne Beam 21 and other building products like charcoal-coloured steel and grey gum handrails, created a distinctive and dynamic viewing platform. Ask NZWOOD about the beautiful Australian hardwoods and building supplies that they could use on your next project.
