Product Overview:
BS1088 Marine Ply is made from untreated Meranti hardwood veneers using an exterior grade type A glue bond. It is manufactured to British Standard 1088 and also complies with the Australian Standard AS 2272.
Marine ply is popular for its appearance, quality and minimal core gaps. It is often used in boat building, joinery applications and wall linings. As a hardwood it has natural durability and stability.
Variations in colour can vary with Meranti, from pale pinks to a darker brown. Meranti is often finished with a clear coat to highlight its vibrant colour and natural face grain.
Thicknesses include 4, 6, 9, 12, 18 and 25mm. Sheet size is 2440mm x 1220mm.
