The IBuilt junior tour has become the biggest multi-day and multi-stage cycling event in New Zealand with nearly 200 participants. Running over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of June and aimed at junior riders from Year 7/8 through to U19’s, the tour encompasses five stages through the country roads of Otaua and Aka Aka in the Waikato region.

This year, the organisers decided to introduce a special stage. Once at the top of the Hill Climb, riders had the choice to continue on gravel to the top of Bothwell Park Road. Bonus points were awarded to all who took on the challenge, and many riders accepted.

A big congrats to all juniors that competed, and a massive thanks to Logan Townsend from Auckland Schools Cycling for organising the event and all the volunteers for giving up their time to make sure it all run smoothly.
