Hyne Design Software

I-Built’s Hyne Design 7.5 (HD7) is an industry standard for alternative structural timber design. It delivers innovative design procedures, a powerful graphical interface and the ability to command complex load functions. It also provides accurate reporting and product certification for the end user. It is a powerful and practical tool for architects, designers, engineers, timber merchants, frame and truss fabricators, builders and even DIY renovators - with varying levels of user access / complexity.

HD7 covers all of the products available in the I-Built engineered timber range including:

  • NZ Made Structural LVL11 & 13
  • Hyne Timber 17/18/21C Glulam and
  • Hyne Timber LGL
  • LP Soild Start I-Beams.

One of the key benefits of HD7 is that it includes the structural properties of all member types and span tables for all of the most popular NZ engineered timber products. In addition to engineered timber you also have the ability to design with a generic SG8 timber grade. This means that you can design timber structures and specify your preferred brands and products then produce the associated Certification, Deflection and Engineering reports required which are accepted by all building control authorities.

Design with confidence knowing that HD7 has been independently reviewed (by an IPENZ Engineer) in accordance with sound engineering practise and with the following standards:

  • AS/NZS1170:2002
  • NZS3603:1993
  • NZS3604:2011

Note: Where a Hyne Timber product has been specified using Hyne Timber Design 7.5 software, substitution with an alternative product will VOID all certification / warranties implied or otherwise.
